It was a pleasure to have offered so many kind families and couples some respite from what was for many a tough year last year.

We were blown away by the response in what was in earnest, our opening season, achieving 30 consecutive 5 star reviews, which ranks us amongst the best glamping sites in the UK.

By far the best part of running Surrey Lakes Glamping is being able to see families having such a fun time together. It’s a great moment when the sun has set, the stars are out and the valley has gone quiet and people are connecting together around the fire.

Focus Point of 2021: the grass

It’s fair to say the new mower was pivotal this summer. Our goal was to make the site so you could walk barefoot everywhere. Jack, head groundsman at Surrey Lakes Glamping kept pristine paths and gardens throughout, thanks to this new machine.

And whilst most opted for shoes, the croquet lawn quality of paths were complemented on by many. A special thanks to Jack for agreeing to let us take photos of him while mowing ;). Our goal for the future is to turn the field into a wild flower meadow.

We can’t wait for 2022 and are working hard to make it a even better experience.
